Some info on the new F650G
series
The lineup:
-
Xchallenge - Hard Enduro
-
Xmoto - Street Moto
-
Xcountry - Scrambler
The 3 Amigos:
All three bikes are very
different from each other. They are engineered for
three different purposes. BMW has optimized the
weight, power, and performance on these new
machines.
They weigh in from a scant
344 lbs. for the Xchallenge, to 353 lbs. for the
Xmoto and Xcountry. Boasting a nice 53hp @ 7,000
rpm with 44 ft-lb's of torque @ 5,250 rpm.
Wheels are 17" for the
Xmoto, 19" & 17" for the Xcountry, and 21" & 18"
for the Xchallenge.
To brake these bad boys, the
Hard Enduro and Scrambler have single front disc
11.81" with double pistons. The Street Moto has
four piston stopping power on a 12.60" disc.
Al come equipped with "O"
ring chain. Hard Enduro (Xchallenge) sports a 15
tooth pinion, 47 tooth rear sprocket. A much
shorter ratio than the other two bikes with their
longer 16:47 combo.
Fuel capacity is 2.5 gal
with a range of approximately 155 miles. If my
metric conversions figure correctly, you are
looking at about 60 mpg.
Rear taillight is now LED!
Clear turn signal lenses with standard bulbs. Both
the Xchallenge and Xmoto will require a passenger
kit if you want to take the sweetie for a scoot.
HP2 technology in
Xchallenge:
You heard it right. The
Xchallenge (Hard Enduro) sports an Air Damping
system just like the HP2. Right down to having a
liquid level to adjust the correct ride height.
